Camouflage Bollocks

I saw the headline in the papers about hundreds of people in camouflage at Army Fete and listen nah, they ain't exaggerating yuh know. It was the most amount of camo I ever see in a Army Fete. It was camo like peas....camo tights, camo thongs, camo netted jersey...camo with camo on top of camo.

Listen, I am a firm believer in law and order (especially the ones with Lenny Briscoe and Mr Big), partly because of my strong moral compass but mainly because I always feel I will be the cacahole they decide to make an example of. Out of all the people in Army fete in they camo kit, I would be the fool that has to go home in his Spiderman jockey shorts because he wore his "hypothetical" wicked joggers he bought in Miami in 2019....allegedly.

While the law is the law and should be enforced equally for all, let's be real, it's a stupid law. It's one of the few things I agree with Double G on. Although if the point of wearing camouflage is to blend into your surroundings so the enemy cannot easily see you, why would you wear it in the middle of the day in Port of Spain? Your camouflage should have a pattern with a pie man, a taxi man, a vagrant and a bank gyal uniform. At least real Army men does be up in the bush....probably making a cook or vibesing somebody woman....but at least they invisible.

Apparently this camouflage law was put in place during the 1970s black power revolution when the powers that be outlawed anything that could be associated with militants. These days the reason they using for it being banned is that they don't want criminals pretending to be soldiers.

Watch meh...I don't remember much criminals committing crime in camouflage but I do remember quite a few situations where members of the TTDF get caught committing crimes in civilian clothes. So is best allyuh outlaw jeans and jersey? If people could mistake a 6 year old in pink camouflage for an active member of the TTDF then I posit to you it's the Army have the problem not we.

Hear nah, someone told me a story about people who visited T&T with camo luggage and customs make them empty their clothes into garbage bags. Which makes total sense, I mean I'm sure bandit coulda dress up in them suitcases and impersonate a soldier.

Listen, I think it's about high time they get rid of that dotish law so people could feel comfortable wearing their nice Aeropostale joggers, with the ribs across the thighs, that fits them like a boss....supposedly.
