People GET Take from GET GXL (allegedly)
Well bai....somebody alerted me to the bacchanal surrounding the financial shenanigans of this GET GXL "business enterprise". Like stick break in allyuh ears or b.....stick in it. How long now we talking about pyramid / ponzi schemes and to stay far.
Here's the background for those who like me and doh have their gin mixing fingers on the pulse of what's trending in we little paradise. Apparently, there's this business called GET GXL Global E-Commerce Ltd and from what I gather there are serious questions related to the nature of their business. From my research, this is the model they were running according to their page:
"Your task is simple all you have to do is create an empty store and the company will provide the items for you, your order for the day will be to place 3 items on the shelf where you will receive 1 usdt for each item so for the 3 days you will receive 9 usdt and you will also receive 4 usdt as a internship bonus for completing your internship.
During your 3 day internship period I will add you to the work group on whatsapp so you can see the progress of formal partners and interns who have completed and moved on to becoming official partners
If you do wish to become a formal partner after your internship you will required to pay a franchise fee ($1200ttd =$150usd) which is refundable to you after you have worked for a year and decide you do not want to work with the company anymore.
If you choose not to continue on after the internship it's ok you will still receive your $9usdt and your account will remain on the system if you decide to join later on."
They further go on to advertise that persons could earn 120% per month. Now the only business I heard of that offers similar returns, involves moving a few kilos of some kind of powder from point A to B and may or may not result in you spending time as somebody soul mate in Golden Grove.
Well apparently the whole enterprise came crashing down as a result of what a person seemingly connected to the company referred to as an incident involving Trinis hacking. Apparently they close up shop in T&T and all their local "investors" loss their shirt, vest, boxers, jockey shorts and bingos.
Doh get me wrong, I'm not out here accusing it of being a pyramid scheme, my court clothes too tight for me these days. But if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck then it's a duck and some curry powder happy Trini done start to chunkay d pot for it.
In case you didn't know, ponzi and pyramid schemes are now illegal in Trinidad and Tobago. Lewwe say you feel yuh bright, well in the spirit of parang for the christmas the TTSEC say "dat eh wukking here tonight".
Persons found liable for operating a prohibited scheme could face a $10M fine AND 10 years in prison. You might tell yuhself I ain't running a scheme but I go take a chook. Well the TTSEC have something for you too, a $5M fine and up to 5 years in prison rocking the blue denim kit. Doh talk bout if you decide to bring your family or coworkers in to help them eat a food...yeah man that is another $2M fine and up to 3 years in prison.
Anyway, the TTSEC and other authorities have said they received reports and are investigating. So if you were involved or caused others to be involved, I wouldn't make any plans for the next couple decades if I were you.
